Access data / server log files

We, the website operator or hosting provider, collect data on visits to the website on the basis of our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR) and store this data as ‘server log files’ on the website’s server. The following data is logged:

  • Amount of data sent in bytes
  • Source/link from which you accessed the page

Server log files are stored for a maximum of 180 days and then deleted. The data is stored for security reasons, for example to investigate cases of misuse. If data needs to be retained for evidential purposes, it is exempt from deletion until the incident has been fully resolved.

The collection of data for the purpose of providing the website and the storage of this data in log files is essential for the operation of the website. Consequently, users have no right to object.

It is possible to contact us via the email address provided. In this case, the user’s personal data transmitted via the email will be stored. The data will not be passed on to third parties. The data will be used solely for the purpose of handling the correspondence.

Legal basis for the processing of data where the user has given their consent: Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. In the case of email contact aimed at concluding a contract: additionally, Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR. Processing is carried out on the basis of legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR) in order to prevent misuse and ensure IT security.

The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected.

Social media / social media presence

We maintain publicly accessible profiles on social media platforms. Visiting these profiles triggers data processing operations relevant to data protection. If you are logged in, the platform operator may link this to your account. Even without an account, data such as your IP address or cookies are collected.

The legal basis for the processing is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR (legitimate interest in an effective public image)

Data processing is carried out under joint responsibility with the relevant platform operator in accordance with Article 26 of the GDPR. Rights such as the right to access, erasure, restriction, etc. may be exercised either with us or with the operator.

Retention period

Personal data is deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose for which it was collected no longer applies. Data is only retained for a longer period where required by law or where consent has been given.

Statistics / WP Statistics

This website uses WP Statistics, a self-hosted analytics tool, to analyse visitor traffic anonymously and for statistical purposes. No cookies are set. IP addresses are anonymised and the data is used solely to compile anonymous statistics. The tool is hosted locally on our server, meaning that no data is transferred to third parties.
